Our Story:

In 2016, Morgan and her loyal companion Remy, a border collie, purchased an old house on main street in Alma. The original house was built in the late 1800’s and was home to several families over the years as well as a doctor’s clinic. Morgan loved the stories she heard about the house as well as its character. Mill Creek Mercantile was born out of her desire to preserve the past. She salvaged doors, windows, hardware and more from the original home and discovered great joy in repurposing. 

Mill Creek Mercantile was opened at 607 Missouri Ave in Alma, KS in the spring of 2019 where it operated until March 2020. Morgan acquired the Antique Emporium of Alma, just down the street, in early 2020 and decided to bring the two together. Mill Creek Mercantile moved into the recently renovated Antique Emporium providing shoppers with the best of both worlds. Today, Mill Creek Mercantile is situated as one of the vendors offering old and new product lines with a focus on home décor, specialty sauces, and local products and charm.
